BOBBY GRIGAS, III CONTINUES RECOVERY FROM CANAAN INCIDENT
Young Driver is Home From Hospital and Itching to Get Back Racing
Bobby Grigas, III continues his recovery from a wrist injury suffered in practice at Canaan Fair Speedway (NH) last Saturday night.  Grigas, who won at the track earlier this summer, was the victim when another competitor missed the pit entrance and made contact with his car during practice.  Grigas’ wrist got pinned in the steering wheel and was both broken and dislocated.
Grigas met with doctors in Massachusetts early this week and underwent surgery.  He was hospitalized, but on Thursday afternoon he returned home and is now resting there, although he is reported to be very anxious to visit his race shop and get back behind the wheel of the #09 Modified.

Already, Grigas is doing exercises already as part of his recovery and he is determined to beat the timetable that doctors have set for his return to a racecar.  He had a plate and six screws inserted in his wrist and a six-inch slice at the bottom of his hand and arm.  He will return for follow-up treatment in two weeks.

Grigas wishes everyone a safe weekend at Thompson International Speedway for Modified Mania.  Grigas earned a guaranteed starting position for the event, but will not be able to
compete due to the injuries.  Grigas will be back as soon as
possible and is doing all that he can to advance his recovery.
