On lap 88, Grigas was solidly in the top 10 of the race, looking at continuing a string of four top 10 finishes during his rookie season of Modified racing when he got together with the #35 car of Dale Evonsion. Grigas dropped to the tail end of the field and recovered to finish 12th, but fell short of a top 10 this time out.
“It was a tough night,” said Grigas. “That is kind of a bummer. We missed the setup. I am kind of psyched that we finished in one piece. I would have finished in a better spot, but the #35 car and I tangled. As bad as it was, it was still a pretty decent night. We just totally missed the setup in it. I wanted a top 10 finish but I will take what I can get.”
Next up for the #09 Triple G Scaffolding team will be this Saturday’s TVMRS event at Canaan Fair Speedway. Grigas won an open show at the track in July and looks forward to going back to the New Hampshire facility.
“We are going to regroup and go to Canaan now. We will hopefully shine there.”
