Grigas Wins Heat Race, But Faces Trouble at All-Star
Ignition Problem and Bump From Another Competitor Keeps #09 Out of Top 10
Bobby Grigas, III and the #09 James Paige-owned team had plenty of potential in Round Two of the SnoWaterGo All-Star Modified Challenge Series at All-Star Speedway (NH) on Saturday night.  The team led every lap of their heat race and won that easily, but after that their luck started to sour.

First, a redraw of 10 moved Grigas back to the 10th position on the grid.  Then, just a few laps into the race, his #09 shut off while going down the backstretch.  Grigas avoided getting hit from the rear and got his Modified refired, but fell to the rear of the field.

“One of the MSD boxes failed, so we switched it and kept going,” said Grigas.

After that problem, Grigas worked his way back through the field, but got spun late in the going.  Without enough time to make it through the pack yet again, he was forced to settle for a finish of 11th.

“I got driven into while battling for fifth,” said Grigas.  “It knocked me so far back at the end that I ran out of laps.  It is what it is, at least the car's not broken.  We've got a decent set-up to run with here.  We went from the back to the front to the back and just ran out of time to come back through.”

Grigas and the Paige team will return to action in the Sunoco Modified division at Thompson International Speedway (CT) this Thursday night, June 12th.
