Grigas Has Trouble at "The Magic Mile"
Luck Runs Out After Only Six Laps
Bobby Grigas, III had all that he needed for a great finish this past weekend in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  He’s a talented young driver in a car with a slick enough body to handle the high speed of “The Magic Mile”.  He’s got plenty of horsepower under the hood of his #09 Modified and he’s earned enough experience to know how to race in the draft there.

But what he didn’t have was luck.  Well, good luck that is.  That ran out on lap
six when a problem with the #09 led Grigas into the backstretch wall.

“I think something happened to the car,” said Grigas.  “All of a sudden, it just
got super loose when I came out of turn two.  Maybe the sway bar broke or
something like that.  I tried to save it, but I was too close to the wall.  The left
rear hooked and just shot the car straight into the wall.  The car was too
damaged afterwards to figure out what happened.

“It’s too bad because the car was going good.  I was just cruising around
and saving the car until the end of the race.  So we didn’t get the finish
that we wanted, but that’s racing.  We’ll just keep on trucking along.”

Grigas was credited with a 36th place finish.
Grigas’  next WMT race will come on July 12th at Spencer Speedway (NY).
