Bobby Grigas, III just can't seem to get a break lately. He's performed well at every race he has been to this summer, but bad luck has kept him and his race teams from getting the finishes that they deserved. This past weekend was no exception.
On Thursday night, Grigas stood by as Thompson International Speedway's Sunoco Modified division was rained out for the sixth time this season.
The next night, Grigas headed to Stafford Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race there. He started 10th and had a good car, but got wrecked by another competitor late in the going and had to settle for a 23rd-place finish.
“The car was good,” said Grigas. “I honestly don't know where we would have finished, but I think it was definitely a top-10 car or better. The team did a great job getting the car ready for this race and I appreciate their effort. Unfortunately, we were in the wrong place at the wrong time again and just got turned around.”
Grigas will race in both the Sunoco Modified and NASCAR WMT races at Thompson this Thursday night, August 14th.
