Bobby Grigas is Ready to Start Tour Season Off Right
Thompson is The Ideal Place to Geeting 2009 Off and Running
For Bobby Grigas, III there is no better place to start the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season than Thompson International Speedway (CT).  The Massachusetts driver is a former regular in the Late Model and Sunoco Modified ranks there.  He also finished third in last season's Mod Tour Icebreaker there.  So moving up a position or two in this year's Icebreaker, scheduled to take place this weekend, is something both he and his #09 team looking forward to possibly doing.

“There is no place where I'd rather start out the year,” said Grigas.  “I love Thompson and my team loves Thompson.”
Grigas' team is now being led by veteran crew chief Kevin Crowley, who has won on tracks all over the Modified world with drivers like Donny Lia and Eric Beers.

“The team has never won at Thompson though,” said Grigas.  “So if we could do that, it would be really special.  Those guys are hardcore racers and they are all very excited.  They are one of the fastest pit crews on the Tour and Kevin knows so much about set-ups.  We tested at Thompson last week and it went very well.  I'm starting off the season better prepared than ever before, so hopefully we can start off the season with a win and build some momentum up.”

The Icebreaker at Thompson is scheduled for this coming weekend with qualifying set to take place on Saturday, April 4th, and the 150-lap feature set to roll off on Sunday afternoon.
